Straight answers
What academies ask before they teach in it every day.
No. A Clasify class is one room, and there is no mechanism to split it into smaller rooms mid-lesson. If your teaching depends on sending pairs away to practise and calling them back, that is a real gap and it is better to know now. Academies that need small-group work schedule the groups as their own short sessions instead, each with its own room and its own attendance.
It is captured the moment a person joins the room, rather than being marked afterwards from memory. Each session ends up with a state per enrolled student — present, late, absent or excused — and those states feed the learner's attendance rate and the analytics page without anyone retyping them. An absence an admin has marked excused is kept out of their rate; a student's apology flags it for review but does not change the register on its own.
Recording is off until an admin of your academy switches it on for one named teacher — never academy-wide, and never by the teacher themselves. While a lesson records, a notice is visible in the room to everybody in it. Playback belongs to your admins alone: not the students, not their families, and not the teacher who taught the lesson. Sessions are captured at 720p, and recordings count against your plan's storage.

The links inside automatic lesson reminders resolve to your domain as well, so a student who joins from an email never leaves your address bar either.
